Accreditation and Academic Programs Coordinator

St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of Accreditation and Academic Programs Coordinator. The Accreditation and Academic Programs Coordinator provides support to accreditation activities through database management for faculty intellectual contributions, teaching assignments, and assessment activities. The position supports graduate programs through advising students, manages retention activities, assists in maintaining student academic files, develops and proposes course rotation schedules, and manages program activities. This position will work closely with dedicated faculty who educate the hearts and minds of a diverse student body. The Bill Munday School of Business (MSB) has four graduate business programs: The Low Residency - MBA program (LR-MBA), the Master of Science in Accounting Analytics (MS-AA), the Master of Science in Digital Marketing and Analytics (MSDGMA), and the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MS-BA). The position reports to the Associate Dean in The Bill Munday School of Business at St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) characterized by its commitment to the Holy Cross educational mission.

QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university. Master's degree preferred. Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and personnel in other offices. Shows a working knowledge of higher education ERP systems (e.g., Banner, SIS+), current word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Demonstrates excellent written and telephone customer service skills. Behaves in a professional manner and works to create a positive working environment. Shows an appreciation for diversity and multi-cultural differences. Values strong time management and prioritization skills. Balances quality and efficiency while managing a heavy advising load. Shows comfort with change in a high-paced work environment. Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, including the use of solid judgment and the ability to professionally manage confidential information. Works independently but also appreciates being a valued team member. Adheres to federal and university-wide compliance standards. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of higher education policies and procedures governing graduate student admissions, academic progress, financial aid and other student service operations. Expertise using higher education ERP systems (e.g. Banner and Degree Works). Talent aggregating, analyzing, and presenting data for decision-making. Basic acumen of elementary statistical analysis and data collection. Successful completion of a criminal and/or employment background check required.


  • Database Manager for Assurance of Learning assessment data for accreditation.
  • Database Manager for Digital Measures faculty contributions and teaching assignments database.
  • Runs special reports from Digital Measures in support of School and University accreditation efforts.
  • Manages, coordinates, and advises both students and the program director on administrative approvals (transfer of credit, late adds, withdraws, special permissions, courses off campus).
  • Develops and proposes course rotation schedules for the LR-MBA based on student and program needs (constantly evolving). Final approval provided by program director.
  • Probation and dismissal decisions - student identification and preparation of notifications for 7- and 15-week courses across all grad programs. Six cycles per academic year.
  • Graduation certifications across all MSB graduate programs.
  • Communications to MBA faculty re course publication in Canvas and adherence to timelines for 7-week courses.
  • Review and collection of MBA, MS-AA, MSDGMA, and MS-BA syllabi.
  • On-campus presence for in-class MBA meeting - 6 Saturdays per semester/18 Saturdays per year.
  • Liaison and program support for Graduate Business Student Association. Attendance at GBSA events.
  • Assist with the identification of eligible students for graduate student scholarships. Sits on the MBA scholarship committee.
  • Plans and executes full-day MBA new student orientations - 2 per year.
  • Sits on MSB School Committees - Curriculum Committee and Policy Committee.
  • Perform other duties as required.
