Coordinator of Student Involvement

(Temporary Assignment)

St. Edward's University is seeking an Coordinator of Student Involvement. Reporting to the Director of Student Involvement, the Program Coordinator for Student Involvement will be responsible for providing creative, logistical, marketing, and supervisory support for all student university programs and student organizations. The Coordinator will work closely with the Director and Associate Director to develop and implement innovative programs such as Homecoming and Topper Nights, and support over 100 student clubs and organizations.

While this position is expected to remain in place through 5/31/22, the end date is dependent upon the needs of the department

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education is necessary. Evidence of advising and/or supervisory experience is required. Must possess an unencumbered driver's license and the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check


  • Provide support for the student programming functional area of Student Involvement which includes: supervising and supporting the University Programming Board, a chartered student organization within Student Involvement, which is charged with the development and implementation of high impact programs and events that support the university well-being initiative.
  • Including but not limited to: Homecoming, Blue and Gold Days and Topper Nights.
  • Provide support for the student organization functional area of Student Involvement which includes over 100 student organizations. Support for the administration of student organizations including managing a student organization directory and event management software, student organization finances, recruitment, training, and supervising the Student Involvement coordinators and their related events:
  • Including but not limited to: Involvement Fairs, Student Leader Awards, and state-mandated student organization training.
  • Provide secondary support for Student Involvement programs such as Spring Orientation and Legacy Walk
  • Share responsibility and work collaboratively to develop partnerships with various campus entities in support of student involvement and engagement opportunities.
  • Manage communication efforts via web, text message, email marketing and social media in support of the University Programming Board, student organizations, and the Student Involvement Office.
  • Work with the Director to execute student engagement tracking (event attendance and student organization participation)
  • Other duties as assigned.
