Administrative Coordinator
School of Natural Sciences
St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of Administrative Coordinator in the School of Natural Sciences. The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative, clerical, and budget support to the faculty, staff, and students of the School of Natural Sciences.
For consideration, candidates must meet the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. More than one year of budget/finance-related experience; experience managing complex budgets involving multiple accounts, restrictions, and/or grants preferred. Work experience in higher education preferred. Ability to coordinate workload and manage multiple and competing priorities. Excellent communication skills. High level of competence in standard office software, including Excel. Experience with or willingness to learn specialized software, including Smartsheet, Qualtrics, and Tableau. Collaborative and friendly disposition.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Greeting faculty and staff and responding to inquiries via phone and email
- Assisting with event planning and logistics
- Recruiting, training, and supervising student employees
- Maintaining appearance of office and ordering supplies
- Budget management, including tracking multiple complex accounts (including accounts associated with grants), assisting faculty and staff with purchasing and travel, and preparing reports
