Faculty Co-Director
Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

 

St. Edward's University seeks a Co-Director for the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP); Vocation: Discovering One's Purpose in a Changing World.  The Co-Director is responsible for leading the integrated execution and the ongoing facilitation of the university's QEP in collaboration with a staff Co-Director.  This is an administrative, faculty role within the division of Academic Affairs and will report to an Associate Vice President within the division.  The Co-Director collaborates with faculty and staff across the university, and co-chairs the cross functional QEP Implementation Committee.  The Co-Director is responsible for facilitating assessment activity, product completion, and centralized data collection. Upon analysis, dissemination, and discussion of the data, the Co-Director is responsible for implementing related programmatic changes that support and enhance the students' identification, contribution, and application of vocation. This is a faculty supplementary position, 2-Course Release Equivalency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the integrated implementation and ongoing assessment of QEP.
  • Oversight of the development of materials and services that support the implementation and facilitation of the QEP
  • Responsible for the annual operations and associated budgetary management of the QEP.
  • Responsible for coordination of all QEP related assessment with the offices of Institutional Assessment, Institutional Research, and the office of the Chief Data Officer.
  • Provide and assess faculty and staff professional development related to the QEP.
  • Develop and implement assessment based recommendations for programmatic changes.
  • Provide ongoing updates to university leadership on the implementation and assessment of the QEP
  • Serves as the QEP liaison with university schools, departments, Curriculum Council and Faculty Senate.
  • Co-Chair the QEP Implementation Team.
  • Co-Chair the QEP Advisory Group.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Institutional Assessment to prepare and submit the 5th year report to SACSCOC
  • Responsible for overseeing grants or stipends related to the QEP activities Responsible for working with AVP SASS and the VPAA in the development and annual evaluation of supervised staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A terminal degree
  • At least 5+ years of student-academic-advising experience (curricular and/or career-professional advising support)
  • At least 3+ years of student-mentorship experience (outside of curricular registration support)
  • Some prior involvement with the QEP topic selection and/or development
  • 2+years of experience in Project/Portfolio program management
  • Experience with educational assessment
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people/roles within the university community.
  • Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication and fiscal management
  • Higher education teaching experience is preferred
  • Development and assessment of Student Learning Outcomes.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check required
