The Bill Munday School of Business at St. Edward's University invites applications for an instructor position in Operations Management and Statistics for fall 2017.


  • St. Edward's University is regarded as a teaching institution and regards teaching as central to the mission. The teaching load includes 4 courses during the Fall 2017 semester: 3 sections of undergraduate Operations Management and 1 section of undergraduate Business Statistics. The appointment spans from Aug 21, 2017 to December 20, 2017.
  • Maintain commitment to social responsibility in the classroom setting in line with the University's mission.
  • Fulfill other required faculty responsibilities as outlined in the St. Edward's University Faculty Manual for the rank of Instructor.


  • A Masters, Ph.D. or DBA in Management with primary concentration in Operations, Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics or a certification in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and/or Logistics.
  • Ideal candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to excel in undergraduate teaching.
  • Candidates should have rigorous training in stochastic processes, simulation, and/or optimization. Research interests and experience in data-driven decision-making applied to operations, sustainability, and/or supply chain management are desirable. However, candidates with other research interests and experience will also be considered.
  • Evidence of excellent teaching potential is required.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with and commitment to working with a diverse population.
  • Prior teaching experience and business industry experience preferred.

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
