Marketing Analyst

Overview
The award-winning St. Edward's University Marketing Office provides integrated marketing strategy and implementation to drive brand awareness, student recruitment and retention, and alumni and donor relations. We use data-driven marketing to communicate the St. Edward's story to increase engagement, attract resources, and achieve the university's goals.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and works closely across the Marketing, Admission, Student Financial Services, and Institutional Planning and Effectiveness teams.

Marketing Analytics and Insights Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver ongoing analytics to provide marketing with decision-making support and maximize return
    on marketing investment (ROMI).
  • Provide ongoing marketing program analysis and translate data into meaningful strategic and tactical findings.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative research using third-party data tools to meet divisional goals.
  • Monitor lead status and movement to ensure effectiveness of lead generation campaigns.
  • Assist with properly tagging, attributing and measuring marketing activities for benchmarking & KPI reporting.
  • Develop effective reporting and dashboards to evaluate marketing performance and provide recommendations
  • for enhancement.
  • Lead marketing reporting by convening a cross-functional team on a monthly basis.
  • Perform other duties as required

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Responsibilities

  • Manage goal setting and implement on-site and off-site SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings,
    traffic and conversion rates.
  • Prepare for and respond to search algorithm changes, and drive technical changes to improve performance.

Qualifications

  • Preferred
  • 2+ Years of marketing analyst or similar work
  • Prior higher education environment experience
  • Google Analytics certification
  • Tableau certification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with experience in digital marketing and analytics
  • Experience with Google Analytics and data visualization tools; Tableau preferred
  • Ability to perform successfully within a fast paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Excellent technical, communication and interpersonal skills; both oral and written
  • Successful track record with project management and cross-team coordination
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing best practices and trends
  • Analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail, with a customer service focus and ability to provide support across the Marketing and
  • Enrollment Management division
  • Successful candidate must complete an employment and/or criminal history background check.
